- Then choose how you want to continue. Care as You Go at $149 a visit, for a visit when you need one with nothing to commit to. Terra Continuity at $699 a year, for three planned visits, three scans and support between them. Or Terra 360 Vitality and Terra Metabolic, a set course of care over four or six months when you want the whole thing handled.
- And you can move. These are not tracks you get locked into. Finish a program and carry on with Continuity. Do a year of Care as You Go and decide you want more structure. Your plan follows you either way.

Medication is billed separately by your pharmacy. HST extra where applicable. Private workplace insurance sometimes covers nurse practitioner visits, but not always. We do not direct bill, and we give you a receipt to submit. A health spending account may also cover it.
A prescription isn’t a plan.
Online services are quick and you can cancel anytime. Here is what you do not get.
- No one checks what you’re losing. Lose weight fast without protecting muscle and you can lose strength along with fat. We scan your body composition so you know the difference.
- No one follows up. Side effects, a dose that isn’t right, a plateau. These need a person who knows you, not a chat queue.
- No one plans for after. Weight that comes off without changes to how you eat, move and sleep tends to come back. We build the habits alongside any medication, so you are not starting over.
- No one connects the dots. Your weight, sleep and mood may all be tied to perimenopause. A weight-only service will not see that.
And your family doctor? Keep them. They matter. Terra adds what a short visit cannot fit in, and you leave with a written plan you can take back to them.

I hear most
Do I need a referral?
No referral needed. You can book your Assessment directly.
Is Terra covered by MCP?
No. Terra is a private clinic, so the visit itself is not covered by MCP. Private workplace insurance sometimes covers nurse practitioner visits, but not always. We do not direct bill, and we give you a receipt to submit. A health spending account may also cover it.
Worth knowing: it is the appointment you are paying for, not everything that comes with it. Bloodwork and imaging we order are generally covered by your MCP card, the same as anywhere else. Medication is billed by your pharmacy, and private plans often cover menopause and weight medication.
Can I claim this on my taxes or a health spending account?
Usually, yes. Nurse practitioner fees are generally an eligible expense under a health spending account, and fees you pay yourself may qualify for the medical expense tax credit when you file. We give you a receipt for every visit. Your accountant can tell you how it applies to you, and we would rather you asked them than took our word for it.
Do I have to come in person?
You can see Marie in clinic in Paradise or virtually if you live in Newfoundland and Labrador, Ontario, Alberta and British Columbia. Body composition scans happen in clinic.
Which program is right for me?
If you want your symptoms and your weight handled together, that is Vitality. If weight and metabolic health are what you want worked on, that is Metabolic, and being in perimenopause or menopause does not rule it out. Not sure? The Assessment will sort it out.
Does my Assessment count toward a program?
Yes. If you join Vitality or Metabolic within 60 days of your Assessment, the full $597 comes off the program price.
Will Terra replace my family doctor?
No. Terra is specialized care, not primary care. Keep your family doctor. You will get a written plan you can share with them.
Do I need a membership to keep getting my prescriptions?
No. Refills are reviewed at a visit, and a $149 visit is always available. If you are stable on the same dose, you may get 3 to 6 months at a time. New medications are usually given about 30 days at a time.
What if medication isn’t right for me?
You still get full care. Nutrition, movement, sleep and lifestyle are the foundation of every Terra plan, with or without medication.
Can I just book a visit when I need one?
Yes, once you have had your Terra Assessment. Care as You Go visits are $149 and cover a review of your concerns, follow-up on what we are already treating, prescription refills, and your questions answered. Clinical questions between visits need a visit, since messaging is included with programs and membership.
